The Adult Beverage Alliance is a 501(c)(4) education and advocacy organization focused on state level hemp-derived CBD and THC beverage regulations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Our mission is to promote legislative and policy reforms that align the regulation of hemp-derived CBD and THC beverage products with those of alcoholic beverages, ensuring a safe, equitable, and thriving market.

Here’s what we’re advocating for:

  • We advocate for a per package limit of 10mg or less of THC, an age limit of 21+, clear labeling requirements, and state-imposed taxes akin to low-ABV RTD spirits drinks.

  • We propose agency oversight by the same bodies that regulate alcoholic beverages or cannabis products, ensuring consistency and accountability.

  • Similar to those for alcoholic beverages, we advocate for licensing requirements for retail sale to maintain standards and integrity in the market.
